About the Founders

Al-Farouq Aminu and his wife Helina Aminu are the founders of the Aminu Good Works Foundation. With both of them having an African background, the organization was established in 2016 to formerly provide health and educational support for deprived communities in Africa. The couple are entrepreneurs and active in communities here in the US and aboard. Al-Farouq is an 8-year veteran with the NBA, currently playing with the Portland Trailblazers. Helina heads up the couples real estate development work. They are passionate about providing a platform for underprivileged children to thrive. The couple has been giving back for many years and remain dedicated to eradicating humanitarian challenges, which is why they started their foundation. They have personally donated over $100,000.
